What’s better than a Birmingham Maternity Photoshoot? Being gifted one, of course! My sister, Liz, and her husband were expecting their new baby just a few short weeks after Christmas. I knew gifting her a maternity photo session was the perfect way to celebrate! She chose a gorgeous dress from my client closet with the most amazing train! Knowing what I did about the dress she selected helped me assist her in coordinating the clothing for her family. I enjoy helping any clients coordinate clothes by opening up my client closet to them and offering advice on what colors and styles often look best together!
A Photographer’s Eye for a Birmingham Photoshoot
The longer I photograph, the more I find myself using what I like to call my “photographer’s eye”. I am constantly seeking out potential locations for maternity photo sessions around Birmingham. Because photography is my passion, it’s part of life for me! Seeking out new locations is like a treasure hunt. I love finding new and hidden gems for my clients. The location we used for this photo session is one I had been eyeing for a while. This hidden field in Morris, Alabama near Birmingham was perfect for the maternity photoshoot I had gifted Liz!
Rain or Shine!
Something I pride myself on is doing my best to keep my clients happy and satisfied with their sessions. The day we scheduled Liz’s session on was freezing, and it had been raining on and off all day long! I wanted to make sure we got the shots she desired, so we found the perfect window where it stopped raining and we shot for 45 minutes! The rain slowly started back, but by the way the pictures turned out no one would ever have known. These Birmingham maternity photoshoots hold a special place in my heart.
