Fall in Alabama comes and goes quickly. We are lucky to get a few brisk days when the leaves begin to turn. For me (and just about every other photographer around), the first 3 weeks of November are an absolute dream. The colors of the foliage is almost unreal, and there’s just something about the color of the sun that you can’t get any other time of year. There is a shallow spot here in Trussville where the beautiful Cahaba river flows so calmly. During the fall this location is surrounded by gorgeous oranges and yellows and I MUST make sure to shoot some maternity creek photos there.
Maternity sessions are my favorite type of session to photograph and the creek is my absolute favorite location for them. There’s no beauty like an expecting mother in a long, flowy gown. It makes for some dreamy maternity creek photos.
Maternity Creek Photos and a Few Other Locations
Tiffany and her family are expecting their beautiful baby boy in January. Tiffany took advantage of my client closet and chose the perfect dresses to compliment all the fall colors for her maternity creek photos. Can you believe the beige dress came from Amazon?? She was stunning in everything she tried on! During our session we took some shots on the road and the sun came through the trees beautifully. Then we headed down to the creek and got the most perfect family shots. Our last stop was a field with tall yellow grass right before sunset. By this point it was FREEZING and windy! Isn’t is amazing how the family looks so warm in the photos? I definitely think these photos were worth every second that we froze our fingers off though!
This was such a fun maternity session with a sweet family and I cannot wait to take their baby boy’s newborn photos when he arrives in January!
